The International Labour Organization (ILO) does not classify girls who are forced into marriage as child labourers, despite the fact that these millions of child wives are denied education, forced to work long hours, controlled by older men, abused, and raped.  AIDS-Free World has been pressuring the ILO to change their policy since September 2014.  Their responses have surprised and alarmed us, and we are continuing to push for the millions of child wives to receive ILO protection.  Read more about our work on this issue and the ILO response below, and see what you think.
